Join us to learn how the use of tech and AI is influencing the job landscape in government and how you can take part in shaping the future of our society. Such work includes engineers and scientists who create and implement new technologies, and extends to political scientists, philosophers, and other social scientists who analyze the sweeping effects of tech and AI.

Panelists Jim Fuchs, Vice President of the St. Louis Federal Reserve; Rob Neus, U.S. Department of State Foreign Service Officer; and Lucy Lankford, Strategic Workforce Planning Assistant Director of the Indiana Department of Technology discuss this subject with moderator and Executive Director Purdue's The Data Mine, Mark D. Ward.

This is a cooperation between Purdue University’s Public Impact Fair: Careers and Resources and Industrial Roundtable. The Public Impact Fair takes place September 9 from 1pm to 6pm in HCRN Honors Hall and is an initiative of Purdue University’s Center for C-SPAN Scholarship and Engagement, College of Agriculture, John Martinson Honors College, Purdue Policy Research Institute, and Roger C. Stewart Leadership and Professional Development Department.

What are Seminars?

Seminars are an opportunity for companies and students to connect before Industrial Roundtable to learn more about each other. During a seminar, company representatives generally present for 30-45 minutes about their company, with topics ranging from the nature of their day-to-day work to how to stand out to their recruiters. Students are able to ask questions and interact with representatives in a lower stress environment, while learning more about positions they can apply for. In-person seminars include even more opportunities to network, with a lounge being provided to further interact with company representatives after their seminar has ended.
