Rube Goldberg


Every year, the Purdue Engineering Student Council hosts the Rube Goldberg Machine Contest (RGMC), an annual competition that challenges teams of students from middle school to college age to compete in building the most elaborate and hilarious Rube Goldberg Machine.

A Rube Goldberg Machine is an overly complex contraption, designed with humor and a narrative, to accomplish a simple task. To learn more about Rube Goldberg and the RGMC, visit www.rubegoldberg.com.

The 2017 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest is coming soon!

For this upcoming year, the task for each team is to design a machine that will apply a Band-Aid in the most elaborately creative way possible! More info about the details of the 2017 Rube Goldberg Competition are below:
