Industrial Roundtable Employer Center
About Industrial Roundtable
Since its start in 1980, the Industrial Roundtable (IR) has gained recognition with students and companies alike as being one of the best career fairs in the nation. Providing the opportunity for company representatives to interact with the Purdue student body, the event attracts nearly 400 companies and over 12,000 engineering, science and technology students each year. The fair, however, is open to all Purdue University students and traditionally attracts a diverse group of qualified undergraduate and graduate students searching for internships.
Industrial Roundtable offers a host of services to employers from the fair itself to information seminars the day prior, interview coordination, and skip the line - a new feature which allows employer to schedule specific times to speak with students of interest.
This year, the fair will take place on Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 and Wednesday, September 11th, 2019. Seminars will be held on Monday, September 9th, 2019.
Industrial Roundtable was first held in 1980 in the Purdue Memorial Union as an event to provide corporate representatives the opportunity to interact with potential employees from the Purdue College of Engineering. Three years later, it grew too large to be held indoors, and it moved to its current location on Memorial Mall. This location is one or Purdue's landmarks and provides ample space for the large number of companies and students that attend every year.
Industrial Roundtable has been awarded Event of the Year by the National Association of Engineering Student Councils (NAESC) multiple times. The job fair is one of the largest events of its kind and has become a standard for other student-run organizations at campuses across the country. Most recently, NAESC awarded PESC with Best Council in the Nation in 2014.
